Ken Cuccinelli strikes me as a good example of a conviction politician. Whatever the merits of his particular political views, we always need a proportion of these. Some politicains follow their constituencies, others try to lead (or shape) them. And so far, he has even managed to get elected from NOVA, perhaps because voters respect the fact that he is forthright about his views. But there can be little doubt that his stances have greater resonance in other parts of the state.
