When somone makes a mistake of the order of Joe Biden calling Tim Kaine the Governor of New Jersey, I have at least two reactions. One is that the Vice President is known for his gaffes. The other is more complex: in falling into an obvious error an otherwise responsible and intelligent person mirrors, without knowing it, a structural flaw at the heart of present experience. This is a matter which I merely hint at here.
