  1. McDonnell’s transportation plan lifts privatization of the liquor stores from the Wilder Commission and tolling the interstates from Jerry Baliles. The only new money I see is the Baliles proposal. The rest will come from the general fund–from education, law enforcement, etc. The Republican game remains the same: “Watch closely. Tell me which shell the pea is under.” BKD

  2. Wasn’t it obvious that the Kaine travel issue would end this way? Wouldn’t immediate full disclosure have made a lot of sense and knocked the legs out of under the opposition?

  3. An opponent of McDonnell’s proposal to privatize liquor stores points to the dire example of Maryland (except in Montgomery County), where he says they seem to be located on every corner.
