Ronald Reagan was called the teflon president. Like him Mark Warner seems able to attract the support of voters who would reject another politician embodying some of his policies. Personality and disposition are mysteries not readily open to analysis. Part of it, I think, has to do with making other people feel good about themselves and hopeful of their future.
