All three Kennedy brothers had Virginia connections. Jacqueline Kennedy had Virginia antecedents. Robert Kennedy had preceded Ted Kennedy at Virginia Law School, and lived in McLean in a mansion once owned by Jack Kennedy.
It is historically interesting to reflect on the course of the lifelong relationship, both friendly and critical, between Jefferson and John Adams, who like the Kennedys, was a quintessential Massachusetts figure.
