  1. The Pfizer affair. You take some tablets in the belief they will do you good , and they are later discovered to do the opposite. The Hippocratic first principle applies to all aspects of medicine, including pharmacology: Do no harm. It is distressing to read of doctors whose judgment was compromised by meals and holidays paid for by pharmaceutical firms.
