David Poole at VPAP provided me with this tidbit.
In no election (including the one that immediately followed redistricting) did more than 4 incumbents lose.
It is extraordinarily difficult to beat House incumbents. In one election cycle, we had a larger turnover in the Powhatan Board of Supervisors than in the Virginia General Assembly.
Will tonight
Be the worst election in the decade for incumbents?
And the worst election in decades for House Democrats in particular?
