  1. only in a Lib’s mind could a convicted felon deserve the same rights as I. I only pay taxes, obey the law, work hard for charitable organizations & have no one in my family on public assistance.

    naturally, I don’t put anyone at risk of violence either due to a crime.

    go Timmy go. what percentage of these “emancipated” felons will be Dem voters? a whole bunch. which is the whole point, eh, Timmy?

  2. Rights of felons. I once met a man in his fifties at the Dunn Loring Metro station who said that he could not vote because he had been convicted of a felony: a non-violent one, he added. He seemed resigned about it, not having much use for politics. In DC felons are given a second chance in some jobs.

  3. it is still a good law because then the governor (if he is prudent) & circuit court judges can parcel out various rights back to the felon.

    this is better than wholesale restoration of rights.
