I think Senator Mark Warner will soon cease to be a freshman–and not just in a chronological sense. He has the capacity to brew politically effective proposals.
Hampton Roads is getting ripped off by Richmond. The key quote from the article on lost voices in Hampton Roads:
“Dana Dickens, president of the Hampton Roads Partnership, said that with the region already missing out on its “fair share” of state resources, those assurances don’t offer a lot of comfort.”.
I hope to live long enough to see a political alliance between NoVA and Tidewater that decapitates the self-proclaimed first families of Virginia.
Groveton, you’ll know that decapitation has commenced when you see NOVA and Hampton Roads legislators stop arguing among themselves long enough to rustle up the nerve to rewrite the existing education and highway funding formulas–formulas that have disproportionally benefited us ‘po folk’ out here in rural Virginia for decades. (Shhhhh! Don’t tell’em though!) BKD
