It maked good sense for Bob McDonnell to cut the salaries of his Cabinet members as well as his own in a time of outrage over CEO bonuses and general economic hardship: common sense as well as smart politics.
Sorry to be picky about the Northrop Grumman article but Volkwagen is based in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany not Northern Virginia. Hopefully, Gov. Kaine did not include relocating Volkswagen to Virginia when he threw out his shoulder patting himself on the back about the 5 Fortune 500 companies he brought to Virginia. He also seems to like reporting the gross, rather than net, number of corporations in Virginia. Didn’t Babcock & Wilcox decide to leave Lynchburg for Charlotte?
