Crist’s decision to run as an Independent in the Florida Senatorial race is well worth watching as the drama unfolds. What does it mean for the possible realignment of the GOP nationally? Will moderate Republicans(who once dominated Massachusetts but are now an endangered, if not vanished, species there) be forced to write their obituary. Will teapartiers take over the GOP? Considering that national GOP leaders are still making up their minds about the direction of the new politics, we are in for period of fluid politics. The 2010 Election may prove pivotal.
