Tysons Corner is a shopping paradise, though the plethora of stores there can give the unpractised a kind of shopping vertigo. And timing is all: if you go at the wrong hours it may take you for ever to get out. I have been there often enough in the last seven years to think that living in that area would be a trial for me, in part because I voluntarily gave up my car years ago. Planning the future of Tysons will be a herculean challenge: I hope they get it right.
