About Gerald Connolly’s relection campaign. Senior citizens in NOVA seem worried by three principal matters. Will the new health care act mean a reduction in Medicare services? Will future social security benefits be reduced because of the colossal pressure on its funds? And will the expanding federal budget deficit mean an onerous tax burden for their grandchildren? They seem uncertain of the Democrats on all three issues, without necessarily favoring Republican positions. Both parties will have to fight for the senior vote.
