Perhaps the biggest shocker in Virginia was not that Morgan Griffith defeated Rick Boucher, but by how handily he did so. Griffith’s five point margin far exceeded the polling forecasts, most of which pointed to Boucher’s re-election. In all likelihood, redistricting will help to enhance Griffith’s hold on the district.
